Exaggerated and abusive prices in addition to using commercial practices which leave room for discussion.My story: On January 2, 2023 I contacted the owner of the company. She was driving that car and she was out of the country. She tells me that her business is currently closed. I asked him for an estimate for me and my 3 neighbors because we all lost one or 2 shingles during the storm of December 23. As she is driving and can't really talk to me, she asks me to send her the addresses with photos and someone will contact me for prices and availability since they were closed for the moment and will start working again the Monday following January 9th. In the meantime, my neighbor told me that he did business with them 3 weeks ago and the same type of work cost him $250. I sent my email on January 2 asking for the price and if it was possible to get a good price because we were 3 neighbors next to each other so the trip was worth it. To my great surprise, I never responded by email or called back but the men from the company arrived to do the work. I was surprised to see them and when I told them that no one had called me, one of the men told me that he had sent the information to the office so that they could come and repair it. When I ask him the price, he tells me he doesn't know that he doesn't take care of that and he has started the work. My neighbor who 3 weeks earlier had had the same type of repair done had paid $250 which I thought was a fair price so I made the mistake of assuming that it was going to cost $250. The company employee took 40 to 45 minutes to carry out the repair before leaving to do my neighbors' repairs. To my great astonishment on January 13, I received a whopping bill for $420 + taxes. Please note, I had done business with this company 2 years earlier for the same type of repair at the same location and it cost me $150. I wrote 2 emails to the person at the company who sent me the email with the invoice without ever getting a response. When I decided to call, I was told that the prices had gone up and that it was the holiday season and that it was more expensive because the guys were being paid double. Please note, it was not during the Christmas holidays. The guys came the week after New Year's Day. If she had bothered to provide me with the prices or her employees would have had the prices, I certainly would have told her to wait until their prices returned to normal. In short, never accepted that the work be carried out thinking that you know the price and $420 for 42 minutes is totally abusive and the communication with the customer is pitiful. I do not recommend this company to anyone if you want a fair price.
